Who said men don’t like to be photographed? Yes, I had the same misconception for a long time and now I am proving myself wrong. Since I started this photography journey, my focus was mainly women simply because as a woman, I always felt a strong connection with them and I thought I could direct them more easily and be very creative during my sessions using props and a variety of poses. To challenge myself as a portrait photographer, I have asked several of my male friends and some of my husband’s colleges to be photographed by me. For the last months I have been taking male portraits and professional head-shots of them and have found that sessions with men can not only be easy but a lot of fun too. I have realized that not only because they are uncomplicated they are more straightforward subjects but also they are not afraid to try new things, besides, they follow directions very well. It is amazing the reaction I got from them when I presented the images, they never thought they could pose or look that way and the best thing is they felt very comfortable and had a lot of fun during the sessions.
